The Denia Associations fair was held this year on Saturday 1st October. The Costa Blanca Astronomical society had a stall again this year showing the citizens of Denia that there is somewhere you can go to learn about, and take part in Astronomy related activities.
One of our members had devised a little game to attract people to stop at the stall, which entailed identifying the planets, putting them in order from the sun, identifying some of the moons, and putting them together with the correct planets. Any children who completed the task were rewarded with a poster of the constellations for their bedroom. (even if they didn’t get them all right)
We were located next door to the Spanish astronomy group AAMA, so made a good double display. It was an enjoyable day and I would like to thank everyone who volunteered to man the stall and to every who helped prepare the material and set up and take down the stall.
Below are some of the photographs taken of the event. To see them in a larger format, just click one of them.
